How Can We Help You?

MLI was founded as a private, non-profit 501 c (3) corporation in 1997 to first address health disparities in substance abuse and mental health that are related to culture and ethnicity. Since its founding, MLI has continued to work with behavioral and mental health professionals, and also provides multicultural and diversity related services to a variety of other groups and organizations including state agencies, private non-profit and for profit sectors, academic institutions, municipalities, corporations, and community groups.

Education

MLI has conducted
trainings and provided consultation for a variety of educational groups such as Parent Teacher Associations and Organizations (PTA/PTO), Boards of
Education, Early Childhood Education Centers, Middle schools, High schools, and Colleges and Universities.

Health & Human Services

Since the beginning, through training, consultation and advocacy, we have assisted numerous state, public and private health and human service agencies across Connecticut.

Social Services

Since 1997, MLI has served the Department of Social Services, and the Department of Developmental Services (formerly the DMR). We have also worked with numerous not-for-profit agencies in Connecticut, in delivering trainings and/or technical assistance.

of the State of CT Department of Corrections and the U.S. Department of Justice. We are also
available for local governments to deliver trainings and/or technical assistance.

in a corporate, for-profit environment.

Other Environments

MLI provides multicultural and diversity education and training to a variety of individuals and groups to provide them with information and tools needed to foster a more culturally appropriate and respectful environment.
